Well my first trip to the National Western Stock Show in Denver happened last week, nothing short of impressive. Angus cattle were well represented there both in the Red and the Black Angus. Congratulations to the Canadian exhibitors, you have served Canada proud. I spent 5 days touring through the “yard cattle” and the “hill cattle” with some great opportunity to visit with various people throughout the United States, Canada and Australia. It’s always excellent to keep current with fellow Angus people and what’s going on in their world. Next week will be headed up to Saskatoon for the Saskatchewan Livestock Association convention for the Saskatchewan Director’s meeting and the Annual General Meeting on Friday, always informative.

Wow, the last month has been so nice it’s unbelievably nice.  For those calving I’m sure it’s well appreciated as it beats the heck out of freezing ears on the calves. Things are busy around here as it is for most people. We are getting some new sales booked and looking forward to working with some new customers this spring as well as our past customers who we enjoy working with and honored to enhance their business. I am headed out of Denver in the morning and will be down there until Friday and looking forward to visiting with lots of people down there. With the sales and shows going on down there it should be an excellent time. This is the first time in 15 years we aren’t calving early so figured I’d better head south and see what’s going on.

We trust that everyone has enjoyed an excellent Holiday Season! The weather has been terrific to say the least and with calving coming up for many the temperature will be surely welcome. Tammy said the weather is nice as we are no longer calving early so hope you all enjoy the good weather. We are in the process of doing some changes and updates to our website and hope that you will bear with us over the next week or so. We have added spring dates to the bull sale run and will continue to add dates as they are finalized.
